Blogger Book Fair News & A Price Drop For Frostwalker

Frostwalker Cover ArtJust a few updates for you today. First, I’m happy to announce that the ebook version of Frostwalker will see a price drop from $3.99 to $2.99 for the Blogger Book Fair! In fact, this change has already been made and the price has updated at Smashwords and Amazon, but it will probably take a little while for the price to update on the other retailers downstream of Smashwords (Sony, iTunes, Kobo, B&N, etc) as well as the international Amazon sites. I don’t know if this price change will only be for the fair, or if it will be a longer-term change. Time will tell…

July BBF button copyAlso, the Blogger Book Fair will begin next Monday! This time around I will be a full participant rather than just a host blog. You’ll be able to enter my giveaway, vote for Frostwalker in the BBF Reader’s Choice Awards, and catch all the great content and offers that will be going on next week!

Latest News On Frostwalker – And A Giveaway!

Frostwalker Cover Art

Well, it’s been about nine days since Frostwalker was released. So far, the book has been well received and I offer my sincere thanks to each and every one of you who have been kind enough to purchase a copy either in ebook or paperback. Your support is greatly appreciated!

For now, I wanted to do a quick post to mention a few things about the book. If you follow me on Facebook, Twitter, or Google+, you may have already heard about some of this, but it doesn’t hurt to mention these bits of info again!

First, I’d like to invite you all to enter the Goodreads giveaway that is going on right now and will end on June 15th. To enter, you just pop on over to the Goodreads Frostwalker Giveaway page, and sign up. If you don’t have a Goodreads account, it’s quick, easy, and free to create one – and you’ll probably love the site! I’m giving away three paperback copies, so you have three chances to win!

Second, I want to offer a special thanks to book blogger Laura Thomas who was kind enough to do a review of Frostwalker on her blog, FUONLYKNEW, as well as inviting me for a very fun interview! She has high standards, so I was very happy to see that Frostwalker got five stars from her! She has also done a review of two of my short pieces, Out After Dark and The Card. You can see those reviews on her blog as well!

Lastly, I want to mention that while the paperback edition of Frostwalker is still only available through CreateSpace and their parent company Amazon, the various ebook versions are popping up at lots of different sites. So far, the ebook is available at the following retailers:

Smashwords | Amazon | Kobo | Sony | Diesel | Versent | iTunes

As I’ve mentioned before, you can read the first third of the book for free at Smashwords.

Thanks again to those who have purchased the book. I hope you enjoy it immensely! Please feel free to give me your thoughts on the book, good or bad, by either leaving a review where you purchased it, or on Goodreads, or by dropping me a line using the form on my Contact page here on my blog.

Thank You!

“The Card” – New Short Story Release!

As I hinted around in my last post, I have something to help tide you over until Frostwalker is released. I’m pleased to present The Card, available now for 99 cents!

The Card

When a strange tarot card appears in a friend’s deck, Jason assumes it’s just a prank done in poor taste. But, when terrible events befall those around him, he must face the possibility that something sinister is afoot.

Death is closing in, along with a suspicious detective who believes that Jason may be the killer he’s stalking. With his life turned upside down, Jason finds that there are worse things to be hunted by than the authorities.

This 4,500 word short is a supernatural horror story in the spirit of the pulp era, but with a modern feel.

——-

The Card is currently available through Smashwords, in many different formats, including Mobi (Kindle), PDF, EPUB, and more. Soon it will begin to filter out to other retailers. There is also a direct Kindle edition in the works, to be offered through Amazon, but the formatting on that isn’t quite right just yet. I’ll be sure to mention it on my Facebook page when that goes live, as well as updating my Works page with links to new retailers as they become available.

UPDATE: The Kindle edition is now live on Amazon! Check it out!

UPDATE: As of January 16th, The Card is available on Kobo! Linkie!
